Tremors / VFW Benefit

Two more good nights at Tremors and thanks to all who stopped out. The news for the band was Tim’s new sub cabinets (the bottom part of the speakers). We had a lot of compliments on the band’s sound so people did notice. They’re on wheels and we noticed that! Nearing Halloween weekend meant “The Monster Mash” was a regular part of the set list, and nobody does it quite like Matthew. We had the Fruit of the Loom gang out on Saturday so a few people were making use of the their costumes. Halloween weekend has us back at the Owls Club and we’re looking forward to that. We’d also like to send birthday wishes to Charlotte (“Socks” as she’s affectionately known) who had a Bday last Tuesday.
Sunday afternoon had us at the Janesville VFW for a benefit. It was a nice informal event and we had a good time. Local Elvis TA, Shawn Sharpe, started things off. We invited Shawn to do a few songs with us and it sounded great. I hear Cyndi used to babysit him. Matt placed a bid on some Packer pre-season tickets (supplied by our first cousin, Randy Sunby) and won. All said, it was a good weekend – and I was home in time for the Packer game!
This coming Wednesday has “Cyndi & the Sensations” back at Cafe Belwah in Beloit from 6 – 10. And then it’s Halloween weekend with Rainbow Bridge at the Owl’s, Fri. and Sat. Holly is still having a lot of problems with her broken foot and might not make it this year – we’ll see. Sunday has Cyndi and I back at the Castaway jam in Indianford from 3 – 7. We’ll see you this weekend!
