Varsity Lanes / Tremors / Hammys

Quite the Thanksgiving holiday weekend after being off for three weeks. We were back at the Varsity Lanes the Wednesday before the holiday and had a good crowd. Cyndi was back from Arizona; Matt was back from Florida, and the rest of us just showed up! We gave our monitor speakers back to Tim and used a set of small PA speakers that Gary had recently purchased. We had a good crowd, ate too much pizza, and had a fun time. The Varsity Lanes does have great pizza!

Friday and Saturday had us back at Tremors and we had good crowds both nights. Jason was running sound on Friday and sang a few songs with the band. We had quite the overflow on Friday after the band finished at Hammys. Tremors is always a good time and we enjoy playing there.

We finished up the weekend at Hammys on Sunday afternoon for a benefit. It was a good turnout and a lot of money was raised. Don’t remember the name, but it for was a 24 year old girl with a brain tumor that is not expected to make it. Very sad, and sure puts life in perspective. We saw a lot of friends and familiar faces over the weekend and very much appreciate it – and we hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.

The band is at a private party over in my area this Saturday. Holly and friend, Erin, are going to this one as it’s close to home. Cyndi & I will be at the Sandtrap jam in Edgerton this Sunday from 3 – 7. See you there!
