Tremors / Jam @ the Sandtrap / Father’s Day / Nina takes a fall

A long, but nice weekend that started on Friday morning for me. I was “volunteered” to play at the company sales meeting. It was trading solos with a guitar player from England, Stuart Bull, who’s company will be doing business with ours. I was nervous, but it went well.
Friday had us at Tremors, again with Gary. It was a decent night, but not quite in the usual groove. Saturday went much better, and a bigger crowd. We think the difference was Matt climbing the pool table to plug in the floor fan. We had a practice Saturday afternoon and learned “Country Strong”. It sounded good and even got a few dancers. As always, thanks to all who stopped out this weekend.
Sunday had the jam band, with Cyndi, at the Sandtrap in Edgerton. It was a nice afternoon. The bad surprise was Nina taking a fall on Saturday and showing up with a broken nose and two black eyes. We’re glad she’s okay, but did look quite mysterious in the sunglasses.
Tim’s new job had him in Minnesota this week, and we’re glad he was able to make it back.
Sunday was Father’s Day and we had a family brunch at dad’s which included Corey. I received a couple of “Batman” clothing apparels – one you can see and one you can’t.
Cyndi & the Sensations will be back at Cafe Belwah in Beloit this Wednesday from 6 – 10.
Cyndi and I will be part of the Gary McAdams Band at Hammy’s this Friday, also from 6 – 10. The band will be at the Anchor Inn on Saturday, the 25th, again from 6 – 10. No *late* ones this coming weekend!
And a happy birthday to Erin today (Monday). Stop out (early) this week and say hello!

Varsity Lanes / Castaway Jam

A good night at the Varsity with the return of Gary McAdams. There was a retirement party when we started, which made for a good opening crowd.
Thanks to all who stopped out, including Bob and Lisa back from Florida. Doug and Deb Brookins are moving along on the Jackson Brunner benefit and were selling $3.00 wristbands. I think we all bought one.

A warm afternoon at the Castaway jam on Sunday and thanks to Paul Roberts, Crud, Matt, Kaj Anderson, and Tom McDermott for playing. Kaj and I were pulling out the stops on “Low Rider” and “Little Wing”. Fun time.
The next jam on Sunday the 19th, will be at the Sandtrap in Edgerton – just a few blocks north of “the stoplight” on the left side, facing north. Tanya and Greg own both bars – FYI.

The band is off this weekend and Cyndi & Bryan are celebrating Dylan’s graduation on Saturday. Not sure if we’re driving over or not, but congrats to Dylan, and also a happy birthday to Bryan.

The band will be back at Tremors on the 17 – 18th. We’ll see you there.
