UAW

Published by Cyndi under Uncategorized

Hi, looks like the snow is back.  YUCK!   The union hall was a fun time.   It was nice to play there again.  They had a great turn out.   Hopefully they will still have it again next year.   Not much going on this week.  Mom is still in the hospital.  She might get moved up to the 5th floor for rehabilitation.  (Mercy Hospital).   Not much happening.  I just want it to be nice out so I can get outside and get some sun.  Hope to see you this weekend at Knutes and the Owls. Have a good rest of the week.   Happy Birthday Jason.

Things are looking up.

I had a great time at Junction Pub.  Thanks Deb and Doug for the jello shots!  They were good as always.  Great crowd. Lots of familiar faces.  My mom is better this week.   They took the breathing tube out and she is breathing on her own again.  She is still in ICU but they are planning on moving her to a regular room.  She wants to go home though.   Thanks for your  thoughts and prayers.  There are a lot of bugs going around I hear.   Luckily I must have a good immune system cause I usually don’t get sick.   Have a great week and hope to see you out at the Union Hall on Valentines Day.   The snow is melting and Spring is around the corner.  Things are looking up!! :)

Long Week

Published by Cyndi under Uncategorized

Hi everyone, hope you are still surviving the cold.   I have been quite busy during our time off.    I have been spending most of my time at Mercy Hospital.  My mom has been there for a week now in ICU.  She has some breathing problems.  She suffers from copd and chronic bronchitus.   Anyway, she was admitted last week because she had some fluid in her lungs and basically couldn’t breathe.  She is now on a ventilator and can only breathe for  a short time on her own.    We are still playing a waiting game and are not sure if she will recover or not.  Her heart and lungs are not in good shape and she is very overweight and has diabetes.   It is very hard to see her laying there and not be able to help her.   Prayers are welcome.   Not only that, Bryan’s mom had shoulder surgery last Friday and we had to put his aunt in a nursing home on Saturday.   So yup, been crazy busy.    I would also like to send out condolences to Deb and Doug on the loss of Deb’s dad  Bill.   I was very glad to be able to sing at his funeral.   It is very hard to watch our parents age and realize that they won’t be here forever.    It is definitely another phase in our lives.    It’s back to playing next weekend at Junction Pub in Milton.  I’m really looking forward to it.   Come out and see us.   Have a great week.   Love, Cyndi
