Owl’s Club

Published by Cyndi under Uncategorized

We had a pretty fun night at the Owl’s Club Saturday.   The crowd was there up until the end.  We are off now until the 7th.   Not by choice,  but we had a cancellation on the 31st.   (anybody need a band?)    I don’t remember ever being off that long.   Guess who called and wants us to play there?    The Janesville Moose Club.   I did book  some Fridays there.   One of the Fridays was in April when the we were cancelled at the Owl’s.     The nice thing is that they run 7-10:30.   Heck we can be out of there before  midnight and go to Slicks.  (flashback)    Anyway we’ll see how it goes.   I will keep you posted if we get anything for the weekend of the 31st.

But it’s a cold cold….

Published by Cyndi under Uncategorized

Hi everyone!   Hanging in there?   I guess it could be worse.   Can you tell I’m trying to be possitive?   Winter still sucks.  I’m glad we aren’t playing tomorrow night.   I think they said it will “warm up” on Saturday.  Then we will probably get another foot of snow.   By Saturday maybe everyone will be ready to get out and come  to the Owl’s Club.   We need all the body heat we can get.   Bundle up!   Put your cold feet on someone you love.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

Published by Cyndi under Uncategorized

What a fun night,  New Years Eve was a great way to end 2008.   I enjoyed seeing many friends that I haven’t seen in awhile.  Thanks to all who rang in 2009 with us.   I am looking forward to a new year.   I hope the economy will recover.  We are starting to feel it with the band.   I have had a few cancelations already due to the slow economy.   I wil be trying to find some other places to play.  I have contacted the Junction Pub and it looks like we might get a few Saturday nights there.   I am also going to try to find a few more weddings and private parties.   I don’t think the worst is over yet though.  Hopefully the unemployment problem will get better.  With GM gone it will be difficult I’m sure.   Anyway,  we need to think possitive.   I really enjoyed watching  Automatic or End Fight Scene as they are called now.  They put out so much sound for three guys.  I think they will be around for a while.  They are very talented.

I look forward to a new year and new challenges.  My resolution is to get organized and to de-clutter the house and get rid of things I don’t need.   I also will continue the battle of staying in shape and staying healthy.   ( Will I ever lose those pesky 10 lbs?)   Time flies by and before we know it it will be 2010.  Live each day with gratitude.   Be kind and it will come back to you.   God bless you all.  Happy New Year.
