Sorry I have been neglecting my blog. Hope everyone is having a great summer. I have been very busy to say the least. Between the band and the farm there isn’t much time for anything else. We have had a fun summer playing. I really enjoy doing the Castaway jam every other Sunday. Next weekend we are off then we are back at Tremor’s on the 27 & 28 and Rock around the Block on Sunday the 29th. See you soon.

Varsity Lanes

Thanks to everyone for stopping out to Varsity Lanes on Saturday. It was a great crowd and I think everyone had a good time. The jam at Castaways was also fun. I really enjoy playing different songs. It keeps things interesting. Tremor’s is coming up this weekend. I better rest up….usually pretty high energy there. These early nights are spoiling me. Have a great week and enjoy the sunshine.

Owls Club and Castaways

We had a pretty busy night at the Owl’s Club. There was a birthday party that started at 4 so by the time we started everyone was pretty intoxicated. Later on there was a rucus and it cut the night a little short. Sometimes I get tired of drunks and stupidity. I know I play in bars but it gets old sometimes when people act so stupid. No good can come from overindulgence. It gets to the point where it’s not fun anymore. The music is what makes it ok for me. If the music wasn’t good I would see no point in it. Anyway I’ll get off my soap box now. It was nice to have Kathy come out and play with us. I really miss having her in the band. It was really fun singing with another female. Steve Peck was out and played a couple which was also fun. Sunday was my first jam at Castaways and I think it went well. Just a lot of nice people there and good music and fun. Thanks to Matt, Denny, Rich and Cary for sitting in. I think it’s going to be a nice gig. I’m exausted so I’m going to try to get some sleep. Love, Cyndi

The Wheel

It went well on Saturday in South Beloit at The Wheel. We had a nice crowd and it was nice to have a change of scenery. They would like to have us back sometime . Saturday it’s back to The Owls Club and then on Sunday I will be doing the jam with Jeff, Scott and Kirk at Castaways. 3-7. Stop out and sit in. Should be a good time.

Hi everyone, I’m so happy this long winter is finally over. “Here comes the sun” I had a wonderful time on my vacation to Nashville last week. I heard a lot of good music and saw some sights and even did some singing. Singing in Nashville was a dream come true. Thanks to Doug for the encouragement. We had some fun times and would like to go again sometime. It’s always good to get back home. It’s going to feel good to play with the band again this weekend at Knutes. Bryan has been getting some planting done. It won’t be long until the market is in full swing again. I’m looking forward to the best year yet because we have a new permit that allows us to do more and sell a larger variety of items. It’s going to be a great summer. Hope to see a big crowd at Knutes this Saturday. Hope you all had a nice Easter.

We had a good time in Brodhead Saturday night. It was good to see some familiar faces and some new ones too. It was enjoyable playing in a smokefree environment. Thank you everyone for all of your prayers for my stepfather Carroll. He is making a fast recovery and is planning on going home on Saturday. Hi everybody, I am enjoying our time off. I have been updating the schedule as the new dates come in. We will be playing at Varsity Lanes in Milton on Feb 6 from 8-12. January has flown by. Spring will be here before we know it. It’s been a long winter. I am looking forward to a good 2010. Please keep Jason and Hannah’s baby Jackson in your prayers as they are still doing tests and are not finding out what the problem with his platelets are. Happy birthday to Jeff on the 27th. Wow so sorry that I haven’t written in so long. We had a great trip to Arizona. Watched a few bands there and really enjoyed the weather. One of the bands had a female vocalist from Madison. That was fun. Seems like we aren’t playing as much, probably because we aren’t. The schedule is slowly filling up. So far we are booked at Finn’s, Tremor’s, The Wheel in South Beloit and Silver Dollar Saloon in Brodhead. We are taking most of January off as Jason and Hannah’s baby is due. January is usually a little uncertain anyway because of the weather so it’s fine with me. Looking forward to Thanksgiving weekend at the Owl’s Club. We will be there on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. We are having Thanksgiving at our house again this year. I love the smell of the turkey cooking. I will be sad this year not having my mom there. We are having Bryan’s mom, aunt and sister. My stepdad will also be there and Corey’s fiance Missy. Corey is still in jail until Dec 21. Hopefully he is learning his lesson in there. I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving and find many things to be thankful for. May God bless you and your families. Love Cyndi

Fun at Finns

It was a fun time at Finns on Saturday. I like the new stage. The highlight of my weekend was having my friends from Burlington Iowa come to visit. I met Cindy when we were on the road back in 1984 & 85. We tried to keep in touch. The last time we had seen each other was in 1989 when she and her husband John came to visit. I had been trying to find her and found her on facebook. It was really nice seeing them.

We have been really busy at the market with pumpkins and all of the fall things. I’m pretty sore from picking. I do enjoy working outside. It is hard on the body though. Oh well a few more weeks and we’ll be done for the season and off to Arizona for 8 days. See you all at Quotes on the 17th. Downtown Janesville is always an experience….Bye for now. Love , Cyndi
