Silver Dollar in Brodhead.

Published by Cyndi under Uncategorized

We had a good time in Brodhead Saturday night. It was good to see some familiar faces and some new ones too. It was enjoyable playing in a smokefree environment. Thank you everyone for all of your prayers for my stepfather Carroll. He is making a fast recovery and is planning on going home on Saturday. Hope to have a fun weekend at Tremor’s and see everyone out. Think Spring!!! Love, Cyndi.

Hi everybody,  I am enjoying our time off.   I have been updating the schedule as the new dates come in.  We will be playing at Varsity Lanes in Milton on Feb 6 from 8-12.  January has flown by.  Spring will be here before we know it.  It’s been a long winter.  I am looking forward to a good 2010.    Please keep Jason and Hannah’s baby Jackson in your prayers as they are still doing tests and are not finding out what the problem with his platelets are.  Happy birthday to Jeff on the 27th.  See you all in February.   Be happy and take care.  Love, Cyndi

Happy Thanksgiving.

Published by Cyndi under Uncategorized

Wow so sorry that I haven’t written in so long. We had a great trip to Arizona. Watched a few bands there and really enjoyed the weather. One of the bands had a female vocalist from Madison. That was fun. Seems like we aren’t playing as much, probably because we aren’t. The schedule is slowly filling up. So far we are booked at Finn’s, Tremor’s, The Wheel in South Beloit and Silver Dollar Saloon in Brodhead. We are taking most of January off as Jason and Hannah’s baby is due. January is usually a little uncertain anyway because of the weather so it’s fine with me. Looking forward to Thanksgiving weekend at the Owl’s Club. We will be there on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. We are having Thanksgiving at our house again this year. I love the smell of the turkey cooking. I will be sad this year not having my mom there. We are having Bryan’s mom, aunt and sister. My stepdad will also be there and Corey’s fiance Missy. Corey is still in jail until Dec 21. Hopefully he is learning his lesson in there. I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving and find many things to be thankful for. May God bless you and your families. Love Cyndi

Fun at Finns

Published by Cyndi under Uncategorized

It was a fun time at Finns on Saturday.  I like the new stage.  The highlight of my weekend was having my friends from Burlington Iowa come to visit.  I met Cindy when we were on the road back in 1984 & 85.  We tried to keep in touch.  The last time we had seen each other was in 1989 when she and her husband John came to visit.  I had been trying to find her and found her on facebook.    It was really nice seeing them.

We have been really busy at the market with pumpkins and all of the fall things.   I’m pretty sore from picking.  I do enjoy working outside.   It is hard on the body though.   Oh well a few more weeks and we’ll be done for the season and off to Arizona for 8 days.   See you all at Quotes on the 17th.  Downtown Janesville is always an experience….Bye for now. Love , Cyndi

Fall already?

Published by Cyndi under Uncategorized

Hi all, sorry I haven’t updated this for awhile. The summer just flew by and I can’t believe it’s Fall already. I have been very busy at the market and getting decorated for Fall. I really like this time of the year. It’s so pretty. We will be having hayrides soon. We played at the Owl’s Club this past weekend and I felt bad that it wasn’t busier. It makes me feel guilty when the club doesn’t do well enough to justify live music. The economy is really taking it’s toll on everyone. I have had a very stressful summer with my oldest son. He just can’t seem to stay out of trouble. I try not to blame myself but you always wonder if you could have done something different. But when they are 22 I guess it’s their problem. But you still worry even when you tell yourself not to. He is supposed to be going to jail tomorrow. At least I’ll know where he is and that he isn’t getting in trouble. I just pray that he will learn something from it. I just want him to be happy and to have a good life. But that doesn’t seem to be the case. Anyway, I’d appreciate it if you could keep him in your prayers. Should be a busy week at the market. Stop out and see me. We are at Tremor’s this coming weekend. That’s always a good time. See you soon. Love, Cyndi

Back to the Owls this weekend.

Published by Cyndi under Uncategorized

Hi all, Seems like it’s been so long since we played. I’ve been pretty busy. The Fair was fun. The weather has been strange this year. It’s finally feeling like summer out. I’m sore from weeding the pumpkins. Looks like we are going to have a good crop this year. I can’t believe it’s time for another birthday. Doesn’t seem like it’s been a whole year since the big 50 party. I’m sure this one will come and go much more quietly. Tim has a birthday on the 12th I believe. Don’t forget to come out and wish him a happy birthday this weekend. I’m ready to have some fun. Stop out to the Owl’s and party with us.

Summer is flying by

Published by Cyndi under Uncategorized

July is moving right along. Today was the first day for our sweet corn. I ate some for supper and it is once again wonderful. I have been going 100 miles an hour this week and it’s only Tuesday. Feels good to sit down. There is always something to do. Tremor’s was fun. I’m looking forward to the Wolf’s Den on Saturday. We will be using smaller set up. ( like knutes) Hope we have a good crowd. Stop out everybody.

It’s finally summer

Published by Cyndi under Uncategorized

Hi, summer is finally here. I am so happy about that even if it does mean working. My job at the market is actually very relaxing and enjoyable. Bryan got me this awesome tv and I have kittens to play with and I get visitors once in awhile and get to watch the garden grow. I’m easily amused what can I say?
Marshall was very fun. It didn’t even rain this year. The weather was perfect. They gave us a cooler full of refreshments and we had a great time playing music. Again, what more can I ask for?
Yea I would say life is going pretty good right now.
I do feel sad sometimes when I think about my mom. It’s hard to grasp. I don’t think it has really sunk in yet. Life gets harder to understand the older I get. Maybe it gets easier to understand and that’s what bothers me.
I just want to live each day and not sweat the small stuff. Before we know it it’s the end and we have missed the really important stuff. I don’t want to do that.
Well another 4th of July is upon us so let’s put on our red, white and blue, wave our flags and party in Milton. See you there!

Don’t miss us @Junction Pub.

Published by Cyndi under Uncategorized

We are playing at Junction Pub on Saturday the 13th. Last time we were there it was really a great time. Hope to see everyone out. Bryan’s party was a great success. He was surprised until everyone started showing up and he was still working in the pumpkin patch. Oh well, I can’t believe I kept it from him as long as I did. The barn is a great place for a party that’s for sure. Thanks to the band for playing for me. I have been getting the market ready to open and trying to keep the weeds out. We have peas ready for the Janesville farmers market this week. Everything else is growing good. Can’t wait to get into it full swing. See you all at Junction.
